When I arrived at the parent’s home where the bride was getting ready, I was greeted to a sign on the door…”Beware Bridezilla Zone”. I thought to myself, hang on a minute, this was not my impression of Megan over the months that I got to know her. I found her to be very easy going and lots of fun. It turns out it was just a little prank from the groom the night before, when he stuck the sign on the door.
I was so looking forward to this wedding as it was my first time to photograph a wedding at The Turpentine Tree, Kurrajong Heights. It was a vintage theme wedding, with lots of wonderful props and decorations including a gorgeous peacock chair. I just love weddings with lots of atmosphere and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.
There was a very funny moment during the bridal entry when Megan was walking with her father down the pathway lined with colourful paper pinwheels. The gentle breeze blew her lovely long veil and it got caught on one of the pinwheels and ended up pulling it out of the ground. No bridezilla to be seen here… she was in fits of laughter.
